My journey into the world of hand-carved wooden sailing knots began in 2014. But I’m often asked: How did you come up with this idea? Have you seen anything like it before?

The honest answer is simple: I have not seen anybody attempt this complex wood carving technique before.

The inspiration came while I was working towards my boating licence. As part of the qualification, I had to learn and master a variety of sailing knots. What began as a requirement quickly turned into a genuine fascination. I was captivated by the shapes, the structure, and the deep-rooted significance of these knots within maritime culture.

At some point, I asked myself: why not turn these knots into works of art?

Over time, this idea developed into a small yet carefully curated collection of handcrafted wooden sculptures, available in various sizes and price ranges—each piece created with great attention to detail.

Wood carving, however, didn’t come overnight. Before focusing on nautical knots, I worked as a woodcarver, creating ornaments and decorative elements for Baroque furniture. Over the years, I have continuously refined my skills, learned new techniques, and developed my own artistic style.

Today, I combine traditional craftsmanship with my passion for the maritime world—creating unique pieces that bring classic sailing knots to life in a completely new form.
